The Weeping Covenant

Michael Beatrez - or The Weeping Covenant, as he is known in the Twin Cities Music Scene - truly is a rock star. His exceptional talent, vulnerable lyrics, and incredible sound blend on the stage to light up every venue he touches. He plays around with eclectic style (spot the vintage jacket and tinted shades), he offers his heart in song form, and he harmoniously blends soft songwriting with indie folk and rock styles.

I had the pleasure of attending and capturing The Weeping Covenant's recent performance at Zhora Darling. This unassuming and chill venue is nestled in Northeast Minneapolis and offers casual dining and intimate live performances.
